Adding or Changing a Preauthorization Code

Certain tests (such as those that detect genetic mutations) might require preauthorization from an insurance carrier or indicate a need for patient counseling. When an order for such a test is filed, a prompt for the preauthorization code might appear, but the order can be filed without that code.

If a filed order is missing a preauthorization code or contains an incorrect code, you can add or change that code at any time.
