Edit POC Test Results
1 Retrieve patient test results (as described in Retrieve Patient Test Results).
Note: For POC test results provided by a physician or hospital staff member, the requisition and accession numbers both begin with POC. For results provided by a Quest Diagnostics or contracted phlebotomist, the accession number begins with POC, but the requisition number does not. |
2 Click for the report that you want to edit.
The page displays three areas. The Audit Information area displays a history of the report, including the date and time that the results were initially entered, the name of the person who entered the results, and the reason that the test was not performed (if applicable). If any changes were made to the report, the Audit Information area displays the date and time that the change was made, the name of the person who made the change, and the nature of the change.
The Demographics area displays the client number, physician name (if provided), patient demographics, accession number, requisition number, lab reference ID (if any), and the date and time that the specimen was collected.
The Tests and Results area displays the order code, test name, and result code, as well as the results of the test and reference range.
Note: You can edit a POC report only if you were enabled to do so by an administrator, and only if the test results were provided by a physician or hospital staff member, not a Quest Diagnostics or contracted phlebotomist. Even if you cannot edit a POC report, you can always view, print, or download it. |
