View Existing Generic or Client-Defined Tests

1 In the menu bar, do one of the following:

To view existing generic tests, click Setup > Generic Req Tests.

To view existing client-defined tests, click Setup > Client-Defined Tests.

Notes:  

The Setup menu appears only if you can place orders with your current lab.

The Generic Req Tests menu item appears only if at least one of your assigned clients at your current lab supports generic orders.

The Client-Defined Tests menu item appears only if you are accessing a non-electronic lab that supports client‑defined tests.

2 Do one of the following:

To view existing generic tests, click the Generic Test List tab.

To view existing client-defined tests, click the List tab.

3 In the Client list, click the client whose tests you want to view.

For generic tests, this list includes only those clients that support generic orders.

4 To view generic tests, in the Laboratory list, click the name of the appropriate generic lab.

5 In the Sort Order area, do one of the following:

Click the Code option button to sort the tests alphanumerically by order code.

Click the Description option button to sort the tests alphabetically by name.

6 In the Status area, click the option button that indicates the status of the tests you want to view (Active, Inactive, or Both).

7 Click Display.

Note: This list includes only tests that have been added to the system manually via this application. Other tests might be available for this lab during order entry.

8 When you are finished viewing the tests, click Back.
