Work with the Master List

1 In the menu bar, click Requisitions > Master List.

Notes: .

The Requisitions menu appears only if you can place orders for your current lab.

The Master List menu item does not appear for contracted phlebotomists. For PSC employees and IOPs, it might not appear for some labs.

2 In the Client box, type the client number of the client whose master list you want to retrieve.

If you do not know the client number, follow these steps:

a Click the Search link.

b In the Search by area, click the appropriate option button (Name, Number, or Phone).

c In the adjacent box, type a portion of the client’s name, client number, or telephone number.

d Click Search.

All clients that match the specified information appear in the search results list, which displays the client number; client name and street address; and telephone number and zip code.

e To select a specific client, click the client in the list.

3 If the client is an LTC client, go to step 5.

If the client is not an LTC client, and you want the master list to include only those patients with home draw standing orders that have not expired within the past 90 days, select the Home Draw check box and go to step 4.

If you want the master list to include all standing orders for the client, leave the Home Draw check box cleared and go to step 5.

Note: The Home Draw check box appears only if you are allowed to place home draw standing orders.

4 To limit the master list to a specific zip code or range of zip codes, type the zip code in the first Zip Code box, and optionally type a subsequent zip code in the second box.

For example, to retrieve a master list for just the zip code 45040, you would type 45040 in the first box. To retrieve a master list for the zip codes 45040, 45140, and 45150, you would type 45040 in the first box and 45150 in the second box; all zip codes in between the first and last specified zip code are included.

5 Click Query.

The bottom of the page displays a list of all patients who match the specified criteria, including the patient’s name, date of birth, sex, patient ID, last four digits of the patient’s Social Security Number, lab reference ID (if applicable), and the client number and name. If the patient has an unexpired standing order, the page also displays the frequency of the standing order, the starting and ending dates, the order code and description, and the diagnosis code.

For LTC clients, the list includes the patient’s station and room.

For home draw orders, the list includes the patient’s address and telephone number.

Note: If you selected the Home Draw check box and a patient has a mix of standing orders (some are home draw orders and some are not), all standing orders appear in the list.

6 To print the master list, click Print, make any appropriate changes on the Print dialog box, and then click Print.
