Managing Favorite Generic Tests
If you can place orders with at least one generic lab, you can create groups of favorites to organize the tests that you use in any manner that you prefer. For example, you might create one group for each different type of specimen (such as blood, urine, and stool) and then add to each group the appropriate tests for that specimen type. Alternatively, you might create one group for all of the routine tests that you typically order, and another group for more rare tests. Notes: • You can manage your favorite generic tests only if you can place orders with your current lab. • You cannot manage your favorite generic tests if you are currently accessing a non-electronic lab. • You cannot manage your favorite generic tests via streamlined order entry. That order entry mechanism uses non‑electronic labs rather than generic labs, and favorite non-electronic tests are handled like any other favorite tests. |
