Specifying the Number of Labels to Print

When you place an order, the number of labels that are printed by default varies, depending on both the client and the test. If too many or two few labels are being printed, you can change the number of labels that are associated with each test. (If you are using CCLink labels, you can always override this number for each order that you place.)

Notes:

This feature is not available to contracted phlebotomists.

For some labs, the same test can be associated with multiple order codes. For example, a CBC might be associated with both codes 6399 and 42A. However, only one code is considered the primary code; all others are considered alternate codes.

You can specify the number of labels to print only for primary codes. If you type an alternate code, it is automatically replaced with the primary code. In addition, if you previously specified the number of labels to print for an alternate code, that information is automatically transferred to the primary code.

You can specify the number of labels to print only if you can place orders with your current lab.
