Accessing the Query Tool
Many labs have a laboratory information system (LIS) that contains information about filed orders, such as when each specimen was received, its label number and accession number, and the status of any testing in progress. Some LISs also include reference range data, report transmission logs, information about interfaces between client systems and the LIS, and other data. This information is typically accessed via a Web application known as the Query Tool. You might use the Query Tool to determine why particular lab results have not been reported yet, or look up the reference range for a particular analyte.
If your user account includes a Query Tool Unique User Identifier (UUID), you can access the Query Tool directly from eLabs.
