Manage Favorites via Setup
1 In the menu bar, click Setup > Favorites Maintenance.

2 To manage your favorite tests, go to step 3.
To manage your favorite diagnoses, click the Diagnoses tab. To manage your favorite carriers, click the Carriers tab.
3 If you can access only one client, go to step 4.
To manage your favorites for a different client, click the appropriate one in the Client list.
To create a single set of favorite groups for all of the clients that you can access, click All Clients. (Your user name appears in parentheses after All Clients, indicating that these favorites will appear only for you.) Any favorites associated with individual clients will still be retained in the system, but you will not see the client-specific favorites during order entry. Instead, you will see the favorites associated with the All Clients option. To subsequently display the client-specific favorites, you must delete all of the groups from the All Clients option (as described in the next step).

Note: The Client Favorites and Companion Program groups do not appear on this page; you cannot modify or delete those groups. However, you can hide the Client Favorites group via your user profile. Copies of specialty grid groups also do not appear on this page. You can manage those groups only via the Order Entry page. |
Click Add Group, type a name for the group, and then click Save.
Note: You can have up to 20 groups. For diagnoses, the Patient Specific and Client Favorites groups count toward that maximum. For tests, the Client Favorites group counts toward that maximum. |
a In the Favorite Group list, click the group to which you want to add a favorite.
b In the Add Codes list, type the appropriate text (such as the order code, test name, ICD code, diagnosis name, or carrier name or mnemonic).
A list of the first ten items that begin with the specified text appears. As you continue typing, this list displays more similar matches. When you see the appropriate item in the list, click that item.
Alternatively, type at least two characters that are not an asterisk (*), click Search, and then click the appropriate item in the search results. This list displays only the first 50 matching items, so if you do not see what you are looking for, type additional characters and click Search again.
a In the Favorite Group list, click the group that you want to rename.
b Click Rename Group.
c Type a new name for the group.
d Click Save.
a In the Favorite Group list, click the group that you want to copy.
b Click Copy Group.
c To copy the group to a different client, click the appropriate one in the Client list.
Note: You can copy a group that includes restricted or limited access codes, custom panels, custom carriers, generic carriers, and other carriers that the selected client might not support. However, you will not be able to use any of those items during order entry. |
d To use a different name for the group than the one that appears automatically, type the desired name in the Enter Name box.
e Click Save.
a In the Favorite Group list, click the group that you want to delete.
b Click Delete Group.
c When the confirmation message appears, click OK.
Note: Sorting the favorites here has no effect on the order in which they appear on the Order Entry page. To change the order on the Order Entry page, see Manage Favorites via Order Entry. |
a In the Favorite Group list, click the group whose favorites you want to sort.
b On the right side of the page, do one of the following:
• To sort the items by order code, ICD code, or carrier mnemonic (or carrier name, for generic carriers), click the Code column heading.
• To sort the items by name, click the Description column heading.
Clicking the column heading again reverses the sort order.
a In the Favorite Group list, click the group that contains the favorites that you want to delete.
b Select the check box for each favorite that you want to delete.
To select or clear all of the check boxes, select or clear the check box in the column heading.
c Click Remove Selected.
