Sort the Requisition Log

1 Access the requisition log, change the filter criteria if necessary, and then click Search (as described in Filter the Requisition Log).

2 Do one or more of the following:

To sort the data by any one column, click the appropriate column heading (such as Client or Patient).

To sort the data by up to three columns, if the primary column heading that you want to sort by is not already being used to sort the data, right-click any column heading, click Clear Sort Keys, hold down Shift, and click the primary column that you want to sort by. (Alternatively, right-click the column and then click Add Sort Key Name, where Name is the column heading name.) Then hold down Shift and click the secondary column that you want to sort by. (If the data are already being sorted by the primary column, holding down Shift and clicking any column makes it the secondary column in the sort order.)

A single empty arrow () appears next to the primary column, and two empty arrows appear next to the secondary column. (An empty arrow indicates that the sort order has not yet been applied.)

To add another level for sorting, hold down Shift and click a third column. Three empty arrows appear next to the tertiary column.

To remove one or more columns from the sort order, hold down Shift and click the column that you want to remove. (Alternatively, right-click the column and then click Remove Sort Key Name, where Name is the column heading name.) When you remove a column from the sort order, the number of arrows adjusts as needed. For example, if you are sorting by three columns, and you remove the second column from the sort order, then the third column displays two arrows rather than three.

To apply the sort order, click anywhere in the column heading row. (Alternatively, you can right-click anywhere in the column heading row and then click Begin Sorting.) The sort order is applied, the arrows become filled, and each selected column heading appears in a darker color.

To reverse the sort order (from ascending to descending, or vice versa), click the column heading again. (Alternatively, right-click the column, click Change to Ascending Sort or Change to Descending Sort depending on the current sort order. The arrow becomes empty. Then right-click the column again and click Begin Sorting.)

If you are sorting by multiple columns, you can change the sort order by clicking anywhere in the column heading row, or by using the right-click menu for the row; the sort order changes for all of the selected columns.
