Cancel a Filed Order (Online Edits Allowed)
1 Access the requisition log, change the filter criteria if necessary, and then click Search (as described in Filter the Requisition Log).
2 Position the pointer over the Actions link for the order that you want to cancel, and then click Cancel.
Notes: • If appears next to the Actions link, you must contact Client Services to request a cancellation. • If a Modify link appears instead of a Cancel link, see Cancel a Filed Order (Online Edits Not Allowed). • For redirected and nationwide orders, be sure to cancel the instance of the order associated with the performing lab, not the original lab. |
3 On the Cancel REQ dialog box, in the Reason for Cancelation list, click the reason why you are canceling the order.
4 Click Yes.
The status of the order changes to Canceled, and only the Print menu item appears for the Actions link. The next time that you apply the filter by clicking Search, information about the cancellation appears in the Modifications area.
If you subsequently print the requisition, the cancellation reason appears above the Profiles/Tests bar.
