Change the Order of the Routing Rules

1 Display the existing routing rules (as described in View the Order Routing Rules.)

Note: If you plan to add, edit, or delete any rules, do that before you change the order of the rules. For more information, see Add a Routing Rule, Change an Existing Routing Rule, or Delete an Existing Routing Rule.

2 In the list of rules, click the rule that you want to move up or down in the list.

3 Click or to move the chosen rule up or down one position in the list.

If you choose the first rule in the list, the up arrow is inactive; if you choose the last rule, the down arrow is inactive.

After you click the up or down arrow, the letter E appears next to all of the affected rules, indicating that the order has been changed.

When the request is processed, orders for this code will be automatically routed to the first route-to target in the list. In legacy order entry; all other listed targets will be available as override options.

4 In the Requester Information area, if any required information (Name, Email, and Phone) is missing or incorrect, provide the appropriate information.

This area should display the contact information for the ordering provider or the appropriate person to contact with any questions about this request.

5 To include any comments, type them in the Comments area.

6 Click Submit.

A message indicates that your request has been submitted, and you will be contacted when your request has been completed.
